Its almost footy season and this time we decided to have a football theme to our competition. The theme will be any birds associated with football teams, which can be of any code. For example with the AFL there are the Hawks, the Magpies, the Eagles and the Swans. We are not looking for a specific bird, eg with regards to the Hawks, there are a number of different hawks, so any would be acceptable. Same with the Eagles, there are Sea Eagles, Little Eagles and Wedge Tailed Eagles, so you are not too restricted. Several Rugby and AFL teams are known as the seagulls; as there are several different varieties of gulls, all will be acceptable. So get out and start shooting. All images should have been taken no earlier than the start of 2011. The competition will start on 1st March and continue until the end of April. For this competition only, non-photography group members may enter the competition by email their entry to me and I will submit it on their behalf (rodgerandjo@bigpond.com).
