Welcome to BirdLife Australia!

As of 1 January 2012, BOCA has merged with Birds Australia to become BirdLife Australia. The new BirdLife Australia website will go live in early February, and until then the current BOCA site will continue to be available.

At BirdLife Australia we are dedicated to achieving outstanding conservation results for our native birds and their habitats. With our specialised knowledge and the commitment of an Australia-wide network of members, volunteers and supporters, we are creating a bright future for Australia’s birds. BOCA pays for postage to the borrower. However, since this can be very expensive, donations towards postage are appreciated. The borrower pays return postage.

Please return items promptly as other members may be waiting for them.

Books, cassettes, CDs and videos should be packed securely and returned to the above address by mail, or in person during Library hours (see below).

The borrower is responsible for the safe keeping of borrowed items. Any loss or damage must be paid for by the borrower.

If borrowing or returning items in person when the Library is unattended, please ask for assistance from the Office staff.

The BOCA Library is not open to the public, and borrowing is restricted to members only.

Members are able to photocopy material from the BOCA Library, at a charge of 20¢ per sheet.

Donations for the purchase of material for the Library, or any gifts of books or videos on natural history, particularly birds, would be gratefully received, on the understanding that any material which is surplus to our requirements may be sold as second-hand to benefit Library funds.

Library hours

Our Library is staffed on week days from 10 am - 3 pm.
