Pelagic Trips 2012

This page gives a list of pelagic trips in Australia. All queries should be made direct to the nominated person - BOCA does NOT provide a booking service for any of them! Note that all trips are subject to weather conditions and may be cancelled at short notice - safety is a priority! In these cases an alternative trip is sometimes scheduled. Note that many trips book out well in advance.

These are the dates for pelagics  for Summer/Autumn 2012 from Port MacDonnell.

• January 22^nd (back up 29^th)
• February 19^th (26^th)
• March 18^th (25^th)
• April  22^nd (29^th)
• May  20^th (27^th)
• June  17^th (24^th)
• July  22^nd (29^th)

If weather excludes both primary date and the following back up week the trip then goes to date and crew list for the next month. The trip will be cancelled with less than 10 crew. Pulling out during week before trip may incur full payment. A reserve list of crew for each trip will be run.

For those of you who haven't yet been with us, we leave Nelson Bay Public Wharf at 7am, and usually get back to port by around 4:30-5pm. The cost is generally $100, potentially marginally more if we struggle for numbers (but this has only happened once and it was when we saw the New Zealand Stormy so the extra ten bucks was worth it!).
