Our Aims

Bird Observation & Conservation Australia (BOCA):

  • teaches how to identify wild birds and understand their behaviour
  • encourages appreciation of the natural world and the joy of observing birds
  • works to secure valuable bird habitat throughout Australia
  • leads the movement for planting for birds in home gardens
  • studies the way in which human activity affects native birds
  • raises funds for bird habitat conservation
